Invaderoids

Note: V2 has been uploaded and includes better particle object management and an increase in the number of lives you start off with(increased from 5 to 10). I've also included the Gamemaker Studio 2 source(the .yyz file) if you want to have a go at making your own asteroids clone. Enjoy!

This is a simple asteroids clone that uses space invaders style characters instead of asteroids. It was submitted as part of Yoyo Games Space Rocks competition and I'm placing it here as a freebie. It's only got one level but it's a tricky one nonetheless. It can be completed by judicious use of the Hyperspace jump. It's a nice enough distraction for a competition entry and if I get more time I'll add a few more levels.

Controls are;

Up: Move forward

Left/Right: Rotate left/right

Down: Hyperspace jump

Space: Shoot stuff!

Esc: to quit and F to toggle fullscreen.
